Born April 11, 1930 to Katherine Quinn Farley and John J. Farley. Youngest of 4 children that included John Jr., Steven, and Dorothy A. Farley-Danks. Married Gerard Ayers Hughes on July 4, 1948. Mother of 5 children, Gerard M(1951), Maureen C(1952),Janet C(1961),Laurann(1963), and Terance P(1964). Beloved Nana of William Wittreich(1988),Ian McAllister(1995), and Russell Goeller(1998). Aunt to Thomas Danks, Kathleen Danks, Patricia Danks-Spadola, Barbara(Bobbie)Danks, Timothy Danks, Jeanne Danks-McAuliffe,Daniel Danks, Eileen(Sissy)Danks, and Dorothy(Dee-Dee)Danks. Remebered and loved by all. Everyone remembers "The Shoe Story" and "The Bag Man Story". Patricia could take the simplest of occurances and turn them into Grand Adventures. Patricia was trained by The Dominican Sisters at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Astoria. Pat was well known as a Grammar and Spelling Hound. God help you if you used the Non-Words...GOT or AIN'T!!! The worst thing you could say to Pat was "I ain't done nothing no how" or "I ain't got it". The offender would spend the next 2 hours listening to an enraged Irishman explain the articles of speech and the use of proper English in it's Verbal form for communication with others. Penmanship was also a sticking point. If Patsy couldn't read what you wrote, she would rip up the paper and the offender would be forced to start over. The rest of us can only hope to be as disciplined and funny as Patricia was.
