Born March 7, 1922, at New Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Fred and Mary Howell Mowrer.
Paul was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was self-employed most of his life.
He was a member of the New Philadelphia Eagles and the Dover Moose and VFW Lodges.
His wife, the former Madge Ellis, died in 1987.
He is survived by two daughters, Paulette (Tim) Deardorff of Sherrodsville and Joanne Burrier of New Philadelphia; a sister, Delores Pisony of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Beth Lang, in 2002; a son-in-law, Floyd E. Burrier; as well as five sisters, three brothers, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating.
Burial will follow alongside his wife at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. The Dover VFW will conduct military graveside honors.
Friends are invited to a visitation period on Monday (today) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
