Clarence Ballinger, 45, 701 South 28th street, died suddenly Friday evening at his home at 7:10 o'clock of a heart attack.
Born Jan. 13, 1908 in Upland, he was the son of Arnold and Maggie Kinsey Ballinger. He was married to Nellie Noe. She survives. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist and the Masonic lodge.
Survivors include the widow, his mother, Mrs. Maggie Kinsey, six children, Mrs. Minnie Benefiel, Elwood, Ruth Ann Ballinger at home, Mrs. Nora Kinder, Muncie, Mrs. Emily Gross, Norfolk , Va., Clarence A. Ballinger with the U.S. Navy stationed on Guam and Robert Ballinger with the U.S. Navy stationed in New Jersey, four sisters, Mrs. Opal Jansen and Mrs. Mary Tranbarger of Anderson, Mrs. Edith Roop and Wanda Harding of Elwood, two brothers, Harry Ballinger, Elwood, and Howard Ballinger, Anderson, and four grandchildren.
The body will be taken to the home this evening from Owens Mortuary in Marion, where friends may call.
Funeral rites will be held at 2 o'clock, Monday afternoon at the Copher and Fesler funeral home. A Christian Science Reader will be in charge. The body will be taken to Copher and Fesler's at 11 o'clock, Monday morning. Burial will be made in Elwood City cemetery.
