Raymond Lais
A private family inurnment will be held for Raymond Emil Lais of Eugene, who died Oct. 13 of medical complications. He was 73.
He was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Erskine, Minn., to Aloysius and Gilberta Smart Lais. He married Beverly Jean Finnerty on March 8, 1962, in Fresno, Calif.
He was a machinist, welder, mechanic and fabricator for Boeing, and he worked for the city of Eugene's Public Works Department for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Leslie of Eugene, and Randy of Seattle; a daughter, Susan Rae Lais-Maughan of Kent, Wash.; two sisters, Rita Sondreson of Seattle and Lisa Kasmetka of East Grand Forest, Minn.; two brothers, Dave of Mesa, Ariz., and Ronald of Ham Lake, Minn; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
