Henry had three wives. Anna Eliza Turner, who died in 1856, Phoebe Behymer, who died in 1869 and Amanda Schooler who survived Henry and died sometime after 1910.

HENRY SILVER DIED OF PARALYSIS

CITY COLLECTOR PASSED AWAY AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS

For 40 Years a Deacon in Baptist Church--Funeral By Dr. Thomas--Burial Near Centralia

Henry Silver, 76 years old, died at his home on Fay street Tuesday night, January 5, at 10:05 o'clock. His death was brought on by old age, heart trouble and a partial stroke of paralysis. The paralysis came a few nights ago.
The funeral was conducted at the First Baptist church, Thursday morning at 11 o'clock by his pastor the Reverend Doctor M.L. Thomas. The body was then shipped to Centralia for burial in the old family grave yard six miles south.
Mr. Silver was born in Shelby county, Illinois, January 10, 1933, He removed with his father to Boone county at the age of six years. When 16 years old he joined the Baptist church and was ordained deacon July, 1869. Since then he has been an active, conscientious worker in the church. Of him his pastor said: "Uncle Henry Silver is my definition of a Godly man."
Mr. Silver was married three times. His first wife was Miss Anna Eliza Turner, whom he married November 1851. She died July 26, 1856. He married Miss Phoebe Behymer in February, 1861. She died in May 1869. He married Miss Amanda Schooler, November 18, 1869. She survives.
H e left two daughters; Mrs. M. A. D. Hanks, Nebo, Ill. ; Mrs . M.E. Newnom, Pearl, Ill. His sons are: Frank Silver, Arlington, Ind.; John and Edward Silver.
Mr. Silver worked at his trade as a carpenter, until eight years ago when he was elected city collector. This office he held at the time of his death. The death of Mr. Silvers [sic] removes from Columbia a man dearly beloved by all.
