Mrs. Paul Lilge, 62, died Saturday at Memorial hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from Trinity Lutheran church in charge of the Rev. E. G. Behm. Burial was made in the Zion Lutheran church cemetery.
The former Clara Wessel, she was born December 23, 1895, in the town of Herman, a daughter of the late Henry and Mathilda Klemme Wessel.
Following her marriage to Edward Heckmann, February 10, 1917 she resided on a farm in the town of Meeme, Manitowoc County. He died October 21, 1943.
May 1, 1954, she was married to Paul Lilge. The couple made their home in Kiel since that time.
Mrs. Lilge was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church and the Ladies’ Aid society of that church.
Survivors are her husband; two daughter, Mrs. Ralph Korn of Springfield, Virginia, and Mrs. Irwin Plotz of Dale; one son, Elwyn Heckmann, on the homestead farm in the town of Meeme; two step-daughters, Mrs. Raymond Gierke and Mrs. Donald McCabe, both of Kiel and nine grandchildren.
She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Kretsch and Mrs. Alfred Boeger, both of Plymouth, and Mrs. Daniel Haefler, Chicago, and a brother, Arthur Wessel of Oak lawn, Illinois.
