The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 15, 1937

Mrs. Ruth Lemon, 77, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam McRoberts in Lake Odessa Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a lingering illness. Mrs. Lemon was born in Odessa township and in 1876 married Theodore Lemon.

They lived in Lake Odessa until 28 years ago at which time they moved to Langston where they lived until the poor health of Mrs. Lemon compelled her to come and live with her daughter.

Beside her husband, Theodore, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Layle of Langston and Mrs. Alma McRoberts of Lake Odessa; one son, William of Langston; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Lacey of Alto; two brothers, Benjamin and Jacob Harrington both of Lake Odessa; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Calvery United Brethren church at Lake Odessa, a grandson, Rev. Homer McRoberts of Wesleyan Methodist church of Muskegon, conducting the services. Burial in Lakeside.
