Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday in the West Side District Cemetery at 3 p.m. for Leon Breece Allen, 61. Rev. WH, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Taft, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Allen was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on April 27, 1922 and died last Friday, May 13, 1983, in a local Taft hospital after a short illness.

During the Second World War he served in the United States Navy.

In 1957 he moved to Taft to go to work for the Honolulu Oil Company. He had worked in the oilfields for 36 years. He was last employed as a pusher for Bob Morton Construction, he had worked for Morton's for five years.

He was a former member of the Church of God in Arvin.

He is survived by his wife, his sons, his daughter, his step-sons, his mother-in-law, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home to pay their respects.
