Robert Wayne Clements, 73, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at the West Point Community Living Center in West Point. He was born Oct. 22, 1937, in Clay County to Maudie Lee Morgan and George Robert Clements. He was a retired machinist for Babcock and Wilcox Company for 37 years. Mr. Clements was a member of Church of Christ-East Columbus. He married Janette Doss Hamblin Clements on Sept. 13, 1986, in Clay County.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J. R. Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include wife, Janette Hamblin Clements of Columbus; four daughters, Natalie Clements Mobley and Linda Clements, both of Mobile, Ala., Donna Letson (Eddie) of Knoxville, Tenn., and Kathy Wooten (Randy) of West Point; one son, Randy Hamblin of West Point; eight grandchildren, Kali Mobley, Miles Mobley, Sam Rice, T.C. Wooten, Mary Hamblin, Johnny Hamblin, Chris Letson and Brandy Boggs; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Gilreath Snoddy of West Point and Sarah Eaton of Woodland; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beatrice Lewelling.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Miles Mobley, Sam Rice, T.C. Wooten, Johnny Hamblin, Chris Letson and Robert Eaton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Wooten, Jerry Eaton, Billy Gilreath, Michael Gilreath, George Gilreath, Randy Hamblin, Earl Sanders, Buddy Sanders, Ed Williams, Eldon Barham, Clyde Hollis, his former co-workers at Babcock amp& Wilcox, and all his friends at Church of Christ in East Columbus.
