Marianna Rose Miller was born on October 12, 1967, in Davenport, a daughter of David P. and Tommy L. (Stanley) Miller. She graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1986. She attended Iowa State University and later graduated from Marycrest College with a major in communications.
Born with an artistic soul, Marianna had a gift for visual and creative arts. She enjoyed painting, drawing and writing, working for a time in the printing business. Known to all who loved her as "Mitzi," she was clever, quick-witted, silly, well-versed, intelligent, articulate, and spunky. A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and niece, she will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Marianna is survived by her parents, David and Tommy Miller, Davenport; siblings, Benjamin (Anna) Miller, New York City, N.Y., Elizabeth (Bill) Mercier, West Lafayette, Ind., Howard P. Miller, Bellevue, Iowa, Nanette (Ben) Zorn, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Nathan (Nancy) Miller, Davenport; and loving nieces and nephews, Sammy and Owen Mercier and Maggie Lou, Benji, Lily Belle, Eliza, and Charles Zorn. She was preceded in death by her beloved nephew, Henry Beckett Mercier.
