Billy Joe Snapp, 58, Bethlehem Road, retired Lexmark Technician, U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient, husband of Michele Sosby Snapp, died Monday, 11 Jun 2007 at the UK Medical Center. He was born 19 Apr 1949 in Bourbon Co., son of Cecil Snapp, Sr. and the late Ethel Pearl Newman McFarland. He attended Clintonville School and was a member of the Paris City Club and the American Legion. He is also survived by a daughter, Tonya Snapp; a son, Robert Snapp; a very special grandson, Michael Joseph Snapp; two brothers, Ronald Dean (Sue) Snapp and Douglas Snapp; a sister, Wanda Gail (Mike) Wagner; his stepmother, Pauline Gilvin Snapp; and three stepbrothers, Terry Lynn Snapp, Cecil Wayne Snapp, and David Ray Snapp. Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, 14 June, at the Paris Cemetery Chapel by Travis Cook with burial in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation was after 11:00 am Thursday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris, KY. Casket bearers were Ricky Carpenter, Kenneth Smoot, Tinker Jones, Mike Herrington, Gary Newman, and Michael Snapp. Members of the Paris City Club served as honorary bearers.
