Born on May 20, 1996, Andrew ‘Peanut' Baier passed away March 17, 2011 at Lucille Salter Packard Hospital in Palo Alto where he spent the first three weeks of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit during May and June of 1996. He is survived by his devoted parents, Jeff and Stacy, his brothers Zachary and Daniel, his grandparents Greg and Sophie Brown and Pat and Jorgen Hagglof and great grandmother Milka Glusac.
Right from the beginning Andrew taught us all how important and fragile life is. Andrew had the courage to overcome numerous medical and physical challenges that made him an inspiration to all who knew him: family, friends, caregivers, friends of his brothers and the many communities in which he lived his life. His strength of will and determination to do things his way helped him grow into the spirited teenager he became. He taught so many to appreciate the beauty life has to offer as well as those things that are truly important. Andrew will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
