"Civil War" Serving the Union Army during the Civil War, Isaac King enlisted 16 September
1862 at Sevierville, Tennessee. Pvt Isaac King a Union Soldier in Co I 2nd Reg't Tennessee Cavalry He went from Pvt to Corp'L . Isaac at the age of 18 years, took part in the following battles: Murfreesborough, Chickamauga, Decatur, Franklin, Okalona, Kingston, McMinnville and Eaglesville; Was in hospital five months from March or April, 1863, with chronic diarrhoea, fever and rheumatism; in spring of 1864 was detailed to drive cattle from Nashville to Chattanooga and was discharged July 6, 1865, at Nashville, Tenn.

Isaac King married Mary "Polly" Reagan in Sevier County, Tennessee on Nov 23, 1865 Mary was the daughter of Daniel Wesley Reagan and Sarah "Sally' Whaley-Reagan.
