July 8, 2009 Rebecca Rose Rogers Ramsden Dornes, 59, of Lafayette, died Wednesday from a short but valiant battle with cancer. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who spent her life caring for her family. She is survived by her mother, Viola M. Butler Rogers Roscoe; two sons, Raymond (Yvonne) Ramsden and Robert Ramsden; two daughters, Rebecca Ramsden and Michelle Dornes; five grandchildren, Rita and Nicholas Ramsden, Duane, Joshua and Kayla Tillinghast. She is also survived by her twin brother, Ronald (Lisa) Rogers and brother, Jon (Barbara) Rogers; two sisters, Teresa (Herman) Buck-Bieling and Barbara Moses; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rebecca was predeceased by her father, Lloyd S. Rogers; her first husband, Roy Ramsden; second husband, Norman Dornes; niece, Carrie L. Moses and nephew, Jason E. Buck. Services will be private. Friends and family are invited to a gathering, Saturday, noon at the VFW on Route 11 in LaFayette.
