[Mr. Selvin (Tap) Tidwell, 63, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1988, at Merihil Health Care Center in Lewisburg. #Graveside services were held Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Lone Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Mack Pinkelton officiating. Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home in Lewisburg was in charge of arrangements. #A native of Giles County, Mr. Tidwell was the son of the late Joe and Mable Pillar Tidwell. He was a supervisor at Abeco Die Casting in Lewisburg. #Survivors include his wife, Virginia Baxter Tidwell of Lewisburg; one daughter Mrs. Cathy Johns of Chapel Hill; three sons, Selvin Lee, Jefferey and Barry Joe Tidwell, all of Lewisburg; four sisters, Mrs. Mable Brown and Mrs. Lizzie Davis, both of Pulaski, Mrs. Lillian Ursiney of California, Mrs. Louise Michlick of Arkansas; four brothers, Sam Tidwell of Pulaski, Jimmy Tidwell of Huntsville, Ala., Tootsie Tidwell of Franklin, Joe Tidwell of California; eight grandchildren.]

[Selvin (Tap) Tidwell, 63, died Sunday night in Merihil Health Care Center. "Graveside services were held Tudesday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Lone Oak Cemetery by Rev. Mac Pinkelton. #A native of Giles County, he was the son of the late Joe Tidwell and Mable Pillar Tidwell and was a veteran of World War II.
