SAN ANGELO — Tennie Mae Kennedy, 74, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, in a local nursing home. Service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel.
Survivors include her sons, Alvie Bingham, Bobby Frank Bingham and KORBY KENNEDY , all of San Angelo and Dwain Kennedy of Sugarland; and brothers James Mullins of Brownwood and Frankie Lynn Mullins of San Angelo.

Tennie Mae Kennedy, 74, of San Angelo, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at a local nursing home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Portis Ribble of West Angelo Church of Christ officiating.
Tennie was born on October 26, 1936 to Frank "Shorty" and Kate Hanley Mullins in Eden, Texas. Tennie was a very strong willed person and loved to laugh. She loved cooking and she loved kids. She showed that through the work she did at Regan Elementary School for 17 years where she worked as the manager in the lunch room. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She loved Christmas Carols and rejoicing the birth of her Savior. She also loved birds. So much so that she collected bird statues, figurines and everything else that had to do with birds.
Tennie was also active in the community. She was a member of the North Side Church of Christ and also a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for over 35 years.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Elton Bingham, loving second husband of 44 years Bob Kennedy, parents Shorty and Kate Mullins, and siblings Sybil, Joy, Priscilla and Teddy Lynn. She is survived by her brothers James Mullins and wife Pat of Brownwood and Frankie Lynn Mullins of San Angelo; brother in-law Buster Kennedy; sons: Alvie Bingham and Bobby Frank Bingham and wife Renee of San Angelo, Dwain Kennedy and wife Laura of Sugarland, TX, and Korby Kennedy and wife Georgana of San Angelo; grandkids: Erica, Josh, Courtney, Luke, Grant, Jake, Oliver, Jacki, Richard, Katie and Emily; special great-grandson Luke; and numerous nieces, nephews and multitude of cousins.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Hospice of San Angelo and, especially moms nurses, Frankie and Mary, and the wonderful staff at House of Hope
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of San Angelo.
