Tremonton-Roma Viola Larsen Stimpson, 99, passed away of causes incident to age on October 15, 2011 at "Our House" assisted living home in Tremonton, UT. She was born in Mink Creek, ID on July 30, 1912, the 2nd of 12 children born to Junius Christen and Charity Eliza Rasmussen Larsen.

She married Louis Elwood (Woody) Stimpson on February 10, 1933 in Ogden, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Roma was an excellent homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was an avid reader and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Roma is survived by her three sons and their wives: Robert (Bob) and Carolyn, Ronald and Dayle, and Gordon Neil and Marjorie; 16 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 38 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother: Shirley, Claudia, Donna, Maxine and Thayne.

Roma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, infant son, Garth, parents and two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle, 140 West Factory St., Garland, UT. A visitation will be held at the Tabernacle from 9:00-10:40 a.m. Interment will be at the Ogden City Cemetery following the funeral services and family gathering. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Rogers and Taylor funeral Home.
