Funeral services for Mrs. Willie G. Sheffield, widow of the late John Sheffield of Fulton, were held April 30, 1965 from the First Baptist Church with burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Senter Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Sheffield died Thursday morning, April 29 at the Tupelo Community Hospital as a result of a heart attack following an operation. She was 78. She was the daughter of the late L. E. and Susan Johnson Gray, pioneer citizens of the Dorsey Community. She had lived at 104 Valley Street in Fulton for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors included a son, Carlton Sheffield of Memphis, Tenn.; and two daughters, Mrs. Casey Randle of Aberdeen and Mrs. W. H. Hester of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Tracy Bean and Mrs. J. S. Ballard, both of Dorsey; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
