Obituary for Clarence Mop Myers
Clarence "Mop" Myers, 82, of Sonora passed away on October 16, 2011 at his son's residence in Ripon, California. Clarence was born December 18, 1928 in Tracy, California and has lived in Sonora for 32 years.



Clarence served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952 in the Korean War, then served as a Fireman in Tracy from 1953 to 1960. He worked for the Lawrence Livermore Lab Fire Department from 1960 to 1978, retiring as the Assistant Fire Chief. Clarence enjoyed working on his truck and he also worked as a electrician, he loved camping, loved the 49ers and was a camp ground host for the Oregon State Parks for six years.



His survivors include his wife of 58 years, Pat of Sonora, CA., his children Patti Myers of Folsom, CA., Rich Myers and his wife Audrey of Ripon, CA., his grandchildren David Myers, Kaci Myers, and Erika Myers, all of Modesto and Lisa Mills and Julie Mills both of Ripon, CA., and one great grandchild, Jacob Myers.


A chapel service will be held at 10:00am at Fry Memorial Chapel 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy, CA 95376. Final resting place will at Tracy Cemetery, and the internment will be private.
