J. G. Garrison, who lived at one time in Manhattan, died June 6, 1914 at his home in Hominy, Okla. His death was due to heart failure, and came very suddenly while Mr. Garri- son was working in the field.
J. G. Garrison was born in Burke County, North Carolina, July 4, 1847. He moved from North Carolina to
Manhattan in 1902. After residing
here about four years he moved onto & farm near Leonardville. He lived there about four years and then moved to his present home in Hom-
iny, Okla, where he resided until lis death.
On June 13, 1869 he was united in marriage to Miss Lenora Catherine
Fox. To this union were born nine
children, all of whom are living. He united with the M. El Church in 1870 and has always lived a consistent
Christian life. His wife and six of the children were present at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the home, June 9. Interment was made in the Hominy Cemetery
