Bartholomew Helpert was a veteran of the Civil War. Having served as a Private, in the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry, Company C, from 10/25/1864-5/25/1865.

I have been unable to find any dates for Mr. Helpert (D.O.B. OR D.O.D.), however the local paper (Manitowoc Tribune), mentions that on "Decoration Day" (6/3/1897), Mr. Helpert was one of the Veterans buried in Calvary Cemetery.
