Otey Claiborne, 80, of Route 1, LaFollette, died June 8 at St, Mary's Medical Center. He was a farmer and life long member of the Academy Baptist Church in Speedwell.
Funeral services were Friday at the Speedwell Academy Baptist Church with the Revs. Ralph Munday and Luster Robbins officiating. Burial was in Academy Cemetery. Roach Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Braden Claiborne; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Nelson of Oak Ridge and Mrs. Linda Mullens of Alabama; one son, Carl Claiborne of Speedwell; and six grandchildren.
