Anthony was born in 1880 to Albert and Elizabeth Lucik Benesh seven years after they married. He was the fourth of 11 children. Anthony died at age 2 from small pox as did his older brother John two weeks later. Their little brother, Otto, also had passed away the month before at age 6 months, possibly also due to the illness.
