Marlene Grayce (Bigger) Miles was born in McIntosh, SD on January 10, 1935. When Marlene was 18 months old,the Bigger Family left the prairies of North Dakota for the sunny shores of Southern California. Marlene graduated from Jordan High School in Long Beach, CA in 1953. At the tender age of 19 Marlene started a family that grew to include six children.

Housekeeping, childrearing, and family life were her all-encompassing vocations. Cake Decorating, crafting and retail sales, filled what was left of her spare time. She and husband, Dan, had homes in California, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana over their many years together.

Marlene died on October 26, 2007 at the Cincinnati Hospice. She was preceded her in death by her daughter, Cheri (Baker) Freeman, and son Brian Baker. Survivors include her husband, Dan, sons Terry Baker, Scott Miles, Mark Miles, and daughter Tammy Miles-King. Marlene is also survived by siblings Jo Wichary, Jack Bigger, Sharon Bigger, and Thomas Bigger as well as eleven grandchildren.
