Billy Holmes, a colleague on "Midwestern Hayride," summed up Thall's contribution to the world in two words. "He Cared," Holmes said. "I guess that's a good way to put it--he cared about people. I'm very stricken about his passing. He was a great entertainer. He loved his fellow man."
