Glenn was born and raised in the Saginaw & Flint, MI area. He is the son of Jeremiah Stephen and Eunice (Tuman) Williams. Glenn married Melissa (Rowland) Williams on August 23, 1888 in Richland, Montcalm, Michigan, USA and they became the parents of two sons, Elmer and Elwin. When Melissa passed away, Glenn moved to CA to be near his son Elwin who had moved there after he and his wife divorced. Glenn was quite well known in the Clio and Flint, MI area and was elected as Genesee County Sheriff there in the early 1920's. He had many professions, including farming, insurance, owning a grocery store in Clio. His death certificate states that he was a Peace Officer in law enforcement. Glenn is written about in the book "The History of Genesee County, MI.
