Janet M. Fettig, 56, of Petoskey, died July 25, 1995, at Northern Michigan Hospital. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Petoskey. The Rev. Andre Schludecker, O.F.M., will officiate, and burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Fettig was born March 9, 1939, in Boyne City, the daughter of Ben and Helen (Zynewicz) Bochniak. She grew up in Petoskey and attended St. Francis School, grauating in 1957. On June 13, 1959, she married Gerald Fettig in Petoskey, and he survives. Mrs. Fettig had been treasurer at Bear Creek Township for 10 years. She enjoyed knitting and flowers. she was a member of the Farm Bureau Extension and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; six children, Chris Bachelor and her husband, Dean, of Petoskey, Marilyn Burek and her husband, David, of Petoskey, Wendy Fettig and her fiance, Allan Schlosser, and Jeremy Fettig of Petoskey; her parents, Ben and Helen Bochniak of Petoskey, four grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve Conrand of Wixsom, and Joanne Johnson of Saginaw; and one brother, Joseph Bochniak, of Petoskey.
