EASTPORT - Florence Tucker Camick, 100, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Florence was born March 10, 1910, in Eastport, daughter of the late Warren and Susan (Newman) Tucker. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Florence attended Central Congregational Church, Eastport, and was a senior companion for 26 years. She also was a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star, and spent 20 years as a helper at Eastport Meals for Maine. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William H. Camick; a son, Harold Robert Keezer; granddaughter, Janet (Keezer) Townsend; sister, Edna (Tucker) Cebula; and brothers, Joseph, Allen, Edward and Harry Tucker. Surviving are son, Kenneth H. Camick and his wife, Joann, of Belfast; daughter, Virginia C. Emery and her husband, John, of Topsham; daughter-in-law, Hazel Keezer of Eastport; grandchildren, Karen Emery of Falmouth, Michael Emery of Holden, Mass., Brenda Stevens of Acworth, Ga., Kenneth Camick of Augusta, Lori Cuatt of Florida, William Camick of Acworth, Ga., David Keezer of Bangor and Elizabeth Keezer of Norfolk, Va.; 13 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Mays Funeral Home - Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday.
