Funeral services are pending at West Funeral Home for Augustine A. Munoz, 82, Rt. 1 Box 188, who died Saturday.
He was born in Shafter, Texas and had a sheep shearing company that traveled throughout California, Nevada, Colorado and southwestern New Mexico when he was a young boy. He began his farming career in the Otis area in 1938. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church, the Eddy County Soil Conservation Service, and Western Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Gregoria; four daughters, Manuela M. Franco, Santos M. Rodriquez, Micky M. Biscaino, and Isabel Dominguez, all of Carlsbad; one sister, Luciana Bernal, Delicious, Mexico; and 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
