Joseph Schoeppner, 66 ATTLEBORO -- Joseph Schoeppner, 66, of Pine Road, died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 15, 2006 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of Marie Jeanne (Morel) Schoeppner.
Born June 29, 1940 in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of Bernetta (Schehl) Schoeppner of Canton, Ohio and the late Joseph H. Schoeppner.
Joseph grew up in Canton, Ohio and was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School in Canton, and later resided 28 years on Paine Road in North Attleboro before moving to South Attleboro in 1995.
He retired from Leach & Garner in 2004 as a supervisor after 26 years there.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1958 to 1961, and was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church. Joseph was also an avid walker.
In addition to his wife of 45 years and his mother, survivors include three daughters: Kim Mayers of Seekonk, Karen Scolforo of St. Augustine, Fla. and Janine Newman of North Attleboro; a sister, Ruth D'Antonio of Canton, Ohio; three brothers: Victor Schoeppner of Canton, Ohio, Dale Schoeppner of East Sparta, Ohio and Thomas Schoeppner of Canton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Roma Campanaro.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa's Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro. The Rev. James Fahey, rector, will officiate with the Rev. Joseph Paquette co-officiating. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Visitation is respectfully omitted.
