MARY ELLEN BOGENSCHUTZ, 78, a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Parkview Hospital. Born May 27, 1926, in Fort Wayne, she was a 1944 graduate of Central Catholic High School. she was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude Rosary Sodality, Marians Society and St. Jude Catholic Church. She volunteered at St. Anne Home & Retirement Community for many years. "Mom's life was centered around her faith, her family and her friends. She loved all animals and always helpe those in need." Surviving are her husband, Thomas E. Bogenschutz; three sons, David T. (Bonnie) Bogenschutz, Steven J. (Thea) Bogenschutz and Timothy G. (ANN) Bogenschutz, all of Fort Wayne; four daughters, Barbara (David) Pisula, Mary G. (Matt) Linsay, Martha G. (Yemeru) Kebede and Michelle G. (Steve) Ludwiski, all of Fort Wayne; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, James P. Mettler. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church, State St. and Randalia, with calling one hour prior. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdayat D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Laek Ave., with Rosary service at 4;30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
