Obituary of Rebecca S. Shoemaker
Death of an estimable lady, after a long and painful illness the grim messenger, death called from earth, Mrs. Shoemaker, wife of I. J. Shoemaker of Liberty twp. The sad event took place on last Sabbath afternoon, at their home and was caused by dropsy and complication of diseases. Mrs. Shoemaker was in the 50th year of her age and died beloved by all who knew her. She leaves a kind and affectionate husband and three sons, George--Peter--Jacob, to morn their ineffable loss. Her funeral took place on Tuesday, from the family residence. It was largely attended by sympathizing friends and a large circle of relatives.
