A service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel for Cora Dorothy Lonsinger, a lifetime member of the American Legion, who died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1993, at a local hospital. She was 92.

Mrs. Lonsinger was born March 1, 1901, in Wamego, Kan., and was a Vancouver resident for 52 years. She had worked for 26 years at the Washingtron Cooperative Cannery. Mrs. Lonsinger, who loved bingo, also was a member of the Grandma's Club, American Association of Retired Persons and the Friendship Club at Smith Tower.

Her husband, Fred, preceded her in death.

Survivors include seven daughters: Ruth Robertson and Joyce Thayer, both of Vancouver, Joan Stimson of Salem, Marian Kirby of Paso Robles, Calif., Jean Hildebrandt of Adelanto, Calif., Dorothy Finley of Utah and Phyllis Pruitt of Las Vegas; two sons, Neil of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Jim of Torrence, Calif.; 75 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.

The casket will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
