Linda Sue Hartshorn, 43, a native Escondidoan, died July 26, 1991 at her home in San Angelo, Texas. She was an accomplished portrait and landscape artist, writer, educator and homemaker. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as Illustrator and author of her Ward newsletter wherever the family served.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Rodney Hartshorn, United States Air Force; three children at home: Shellie, Steven and David; son, Rodney D., a pre-med student at the University of Utah; son, Robert W. Hartshorn serving on a mission in West Virginia; grand-daughter, Christina Joy; mother, Mrs. June Dannenberg Of Escondido; father, Robert Way of Meeker, Oklahoma; grandmother, Gladys Way also of Meeker; brother, Jim Logan of Lafayette, LA; step-father, Dr. O. Doyle Dannenberg of Escondido; step-sisters, June Marksberry and Joyce Dannenberg; and step-brother, Alan Dannenberg.

A Viewing will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Aihiser-Wilson Mortuary on Tuesday, July 30, 1991. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednes­day, July 31,1991 at Aihiser-Wilson Mor­tuary. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Alhiser-Wilson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
