Born on Sept. 5, 1920 in Liege, Belgium, Anne was the second daughter of Noel Joseph and Mathilde Marie (Lardinois) Delapierre. She came to the United States in 1947 to visit her sister who had moved here shortly after World War II. During that visit, she met Edward Delmar Adams of Pacific and the two were married in Valley Park, Jan. 31, 1948. The couple moved to Gerald shortly thereafter where Edward and his brother, Millard, had established Adams Brothers Well Drilling.
Anne became an American citizen in 1956, one of her proudest achievements. She was a lifelong member of St. Gerald Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She was active in the Gerald Senior Center where her "Tea with Anne" became a favorite of the attendees. She was a member of the St. Gerald Ladies Sodality and a past president of the Gerald PTA. After her retirement as a receptionist from Beaufort Transfer Co. in 1987, she devoted her time to senior activities and volunteering at the newly formed Gerald Library.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmar; sisters, Therese Muernier and husband Jean and Lionie Haidon and husband Rene of Liege, Belgium; brother-in-law, August Diehl; grandson, Benjamin Lee Adams; and nephew, Noel Muernier of Liege, Belgium.
Her survivors include her sons, Ed (Marsha) Adams, John (Debbie) Adams, and Bob (Marsha); grandchildren, Paul Adams, Jeff Adams, Andy Adams, Scott Adams, Jeremy Adams and Melissa Kiepe; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Henrietta Diehl.
Burial in the St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery.
