Irene was born December 29, 1914, in Olney, Texas to Earnest and Effie Carr. She was married to Bud Jennings for over 50 years. They had a wonderful marriage and a deep respect for one another.
Irene was an extremely intelligent and witty person. She loved the Lord, life and her family and enjoyed religious singing. She also loved to quilt t and cook. She was a homemaker most of her life, but did work for approximately 16 years as a nurses aide at Oak Lane Nursing Home. Irene resided in Weatherford most of her life, but for the last few years, she resided in Waco, Texas.
Irene is preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers, Eugene Carr, Cecil Carr and sister, Geraldine Carr. She is survived by her sister, Lorene Jenkins; daughter, Betty Ellinger and Patricia Hill, her three grandchildren, Jayson Tinsley, Robbie Roberts and wife, Bobbi, Cameron Hill and wife, Candice and three great-grandchildren, Cole Roberts, Corilea Hill and Corbyn Hill and numerous nieces and nephews.
