James Morris Page, s. of William David Page and Fanny Morris, b. circa 1837 at Fairfield, Michigan. He appears in the 1850 (age 13) and 1860 (age 23) census of his parent's household as James M. Page. His older sister Mary Louisa (Page) Fuller named a son James Morris Fuller, and it is assumed that James' middle initial stood for Morris.

James as James M. Page, along with two of his brothers, appears in the July 1, 1863 census of Seneca Township, Lenawee County, MI of those subject to military duty, at which time he was listed as a married 26 year old merchant.

In or before the year 1862 probably at the then Village (now City of) Morenci in Seneca Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, James m. Ellen M. Norton, dau. of Salmon Cogswell Norton and Philena Ranney, b. June 10, 1839 at Marcellus, NY. By this marriage was born three identified children: Lulu circa 1862, Mary in 1864 who d.y. (g.s.), and Jennie M. circa 1866. The specific date of James' death is not of record, but presumably was prior to the year 1867, latter the beginning year of compiled Michigan state death records. Hopefully, James' faint gravestone inscription can be deciphered to be more specific.

On Oct. 22, 1878 at Morenci the widow Ellen (Norton) Page m. 2) as his 2nd wife, David M. Blair, by whom she had no known children. David d. Sept. 28, 1892 at Morenci (g.s.) Ellen would follow her dau. Jennie M. (Page) Stone to Cleveland, OH where she d. Jan. 26, 1915 (g.s.)
