Funeral services for W. W. Chapman, well-known Monroe druggist, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mulhearn Chapel, with the Revs. John O. Stewart and R. T. Watson officiating.
Burial will be in Twin City Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites to be held at graveside.
Mr. Chapman, who lived at 701 Auburn Ave., died Monday at a local hospital after a long illness.
He had operated on New South Drug Store on DeSiard Street since the 1930's. He was a native of Calhoun and lifelong resident of Ouachita Parish.
Mr. Chapman received his pharmacy degree from the Atlanta,(Ga.) College of Pharmacy, and a member of the Fifth District Pharmaceutical Association, Louisiana State Pharmaceutical Association and the National Association of Retail Druggists.
He was also a member of the First Christian Church, Western Star Masonic Lodge, American Legion and was past president of the Monroe Lions Club. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mamie Chapman, Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. John E. Robbins, Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Wyrick, Calhoun; Mrs. Grady Brown, West Monroe; two brothers, Lloyd W. Chapman, Lake Providence; Orland E. Chapman, West Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Jack Hays, John Kelso Sr., Louis Mathis, Billy Wyrick, Oliver Chapman, Perry White, Phil Zirbel and A. S. Gunter.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Monroe Lions Club.
