Mrs. Nellie Brown, 76, wife of Abe, a retired druggist, died Monday evening at her home at 1934 W. Brown st. Her husband operated a drugstore on 7th st. and Grand av. for 46 years, retiring about a year before Grand av. became Wisconsin av. Mrs. Brown was born in Genesee, Wis., and came to Milwaukee as a young girl. She was a lifelong member of the Tabernacle Baptist church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Lusk and Mrs. Dorothy Bartholomew. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Clasen funeral home, 4312 W. Lloyd st. Burial will be in Wauwatosa cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m, Wednesday. (Milwaukee Journal, 19 September 1945, page 33)
