Andrew Chesnut and his wife Mary were originally buried in the United Presb. Cemetery. Those graves were relocated to Shenango Valley Cemetery. Andrew's stone did not survive. His remains are presumed to be beside hers but no stone marker.

The Andrew Chesnut farm in Pymatuning Township, Mercer Co., PA, was slowly sold off by family to neighboring farmers. The last section of the farm still owned by a Chesnut was condemned for the US government for the Shenango Reservoir in the early 1960s.
A stream that ran through the farm was named Chestnut Run, named for Andrew. Chestnut Run empties into the Shenango Reservoir at the eastern section of Andrew's farm. It is now a park/beach called Chestnut Run Swim Beach.
The Chesnut name was often misspelled "Chestnut" as was in the cases of naming the stream and park/beach.
