HURRICANE - Mrs. Thelma Cyrus Allen, 65, of Hurricane, died Monday at a son's home after a long illness.
Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Peggy Lee of St. Albans, Mrs. Betty Smith of Alaska, Mrs. Naomi Tilden of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Shirley Morris of Springfield, Va., Mrs. Carroll Horton of Charlottesville, N. C., Mrs. Joyce McLaney of Duluth, Minn., Mrs. Mona Smith of Charleston; sons, Charles Allen of Culloden and James Allen with the Army in Germany; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Virginia Tincher of Hurr4icane, Mrs. Evelyn Spry of Ashville, N.C., Mrs. Eleanor Escue of St. Albans, Mrs. Charlotte Costonti [sic] of Daily [sic] City, Calif., Mrs. Loraine Melton of Springfield, Mo.; stepsons, William, Harold, Adrian[,] Pearl and David, all of Hurricane; brother, William Cyrus of St. Albans; and a sister, Mrs. Peggy Myneir of Barrett.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Hurricane with the Rev. Harold Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, near Hurricane. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service
