After the divorce of her parents, Edna was "placed" at the Sandusky County Ohio Infirmary (also used as a clearing house for children needing homes). Records show that Edna Biddle age 9 b. 7/22/81 b. OH was admitted 11/11/1890 and dismissed 12/19/1890 by transfer to the Protestant Orphans Home in Cleveland. ["Sandusky County Infirmary 1880-1940, Persons Admitted" compiled by Hermina Brinkmeier and Ruby Kapp 1993] She was raised by the Frank Brown Family of Jerusalem Township, Yates County, NY. They lived across the street from the family of Clarence Long Bishop.
My grandmother was a very well adjusted person, besides her family her major interest was bridge, so I still think of her as a "clubwoman. [From the memory of her grandson Robert M Bishop
