Chester H. Goodwin, 65, of 821 N. Elm St., died at Ball Memorial Hospital at 2 a.m. Thursday, after being ill there for three weeks. He was a lifelong county resident, and for the last eight years had been employed by the Muncie Malleable Foundry Company. He was a member of the moulder's union.
Survivors include the wife, Susie; three sons, Alvey D., Chester D., and Larry Goodwin, all of Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Harriet Sanders, Muncie; and 15 grandchildren.
Private services will be conducted at the Meeks Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery. The family requests that flowers not be sent. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Friday.
