Masonic graveside services for Henry Scott, 83, of Vernon were Monday at 10 a.m. in Eastview cemetery. Dr. Charles Becton officiated. Arrangements were under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Scott, father of Linda Brougher of Iowa Park , died Saturday in a Wichita Falls nursing home.

Born June 17, 1910 in Wills Point, he was a lifetime resident of Vernon. He and Dorothy Moore were married July 9, 1933 in Altus, Okla. Scott retired as a Wilbarger County Commissioner and as Wilbarger County Judge. He was a former employee of MHMR Center North and was a Vernon school bus driver 10 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a former director and president of Boys Club and Girls Club of Vernon. Scott was a 32nd Degree Mason.
He was a member of Vernon Masonic Lodge No. 655 and was a past district deputy Grand Master of the 90th Masonic District.

Other survivors include his wife; one son, Allen, of Houston; one brother, Guy of Corpus Christi, and three grandchildren.
