Ada Reatha(Stilley) Herndon, age 76, daughter of Charles Harrison and Ada Estella (Mings) Stilley was born on June 2, 1937 in Plato, MO. She passed away on October 25, 2013 in Houston, MO.
Reatha grew up in the Upton community and graduated from Houston High School in 1958. She attended Peace Chapel Church for many years while living in the Upton area.
She married Louis Herndon September 28, 1974 and they made their home in Poplarville, Mississippi. Louis passed away in January 1995. Reatha returned to Houston in 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Alma Westfall and Lucille Pounds, and Edith Pearl. Eight brothers, Esther, Vaughan, Lealand, Aubrey, Lyle, Melvin, Arden, and infant brother, Alvin Amos.
She is survived by one brother Marshall Stilley of Dysart, Iowa and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
While living in Mississippi, Reatha loved to go to auctions with her friends.
She loved her nieces and nephews as her very own and always looked forward to time spent with them.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
