He graduated high school May 26 1938 from Liberty hich school in Texarkana Texas . He married Lessie Lee Rogers on September 3 1943 in Dallas Texas .He served in the USMC from June 29 1944 until May 7 1946 . He was honorbly discharged as a Private First Class . He saw action in Okinoma , Ryukyu islands and The occupation of China .He died October 18 1993 in fort worth ,Tarrant County Texas of Metastatic Prostate Cancer. He was survived at the time of his death by His wife Lessie Lee Rogers Silmanand two sons Larry O'neal silman and Randy Craig Silman .
