Mrs. Yvonne Lyons Whittington, 86 of Perkinston, died Tues., Aug. 30, 2011 in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Whittington was a member of First United Methodist Church of Wiggins where she was the nursery attendant for many years.
Her daughter, Rebecca Baxter; parents, Melvin and Daisy Lyons; a sister, Margaret Smith; and brother, Jimmy Lyons, preceded her in death.
Survivors include Charles (Marquetta) Whittington of Poplarville, Richard Whittington of Perkinston, Cary (Ann) Whittington of Wiggins; three daughters, Diane (George) Johnson of Lucedale, Beth (Harold) Rawls of Wiggins, Kaye Viehweg and her financé Danny Bellew of Hattiesburg; one sister, Oralee Cain of Wiggins; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thurs., Sept. 1 at First United Methodist Church. Interment followed in New Zion Cemetery in Wiggins.
