Mrs. Bessie L. Spears.
Mrs. Bessie Lott Spears, 82, of 2101 Walton Way, died Saturday, Oct 27, 1990, at St. Joseph Hospital.
The funeral will be at noon Tuesday at St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church, with the Rev. P. James Costigan officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park. A Holy rosary will be recited at 7pm today at Platt's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Spears, a native of Aiken, had lived in Augusta since 1932. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church, Spanish American Auxiliary, Daughters of '98 and Daughters of Confederacy.
Survivors include, two sons, James E. Spears, Augusta, and Chester W. Spears, Jr., Malaysia; three daughters, Patricia S. Murphy, Sandra S. Boysworth and Phyllis S. Holland-Badke, all of Augusta; a sister, Janelle Platke, Savannah Beach; and 16 grand-children and 7 great grand children.
Pall bearers will be Michael Spears, Chris Spears, Jamie Spears, Bert Holland, Charles Murphy, and Jimmy Murphy.
Friends may call at the residence of James E. Spears or at the funeral home.
