Content Woodruff was born on 5 July 1762 in Derby. Connecticut to David and Esther (Clark) Woodruff. She married Nehemiah Candee on 06 Dec 1780 in Oxford Congregational Church in Oxford, New Haven, Connecticut. She died on 14 November 1838 in Galway, Saraoga County, New York. The Hale Collection of Connecticut Records has as follows:
"Dec 8, 1838 Candee, Content Amsterdam, NY. Relict of Nehemiah Candee"
Nehemiah and Content Candee had at least 12 children, according to Charles Candee Baldwin's book entitled 'The Candee Genealogy' page 29-30:
