Mr. Ewald died at the home of his son, Adolph, at Rapids at the age of 71 years. He was a native of Germany, born Nov. 5, 1844 and came here as a young man _____and made his home on a farm at ___________

John Ewald died at the home of his son, Adolph, Friday morning, aged 71 years.
He was born in Germany and when a child came to this country with his parents.
During the greater part of his life he lived on a farm here. Besides his aged
wife, he is survived by four sons, Henry, who conducts a general merchandise
store at Haven, Ferdinand, Adolph and Herman, all of whom live on farms in
this county.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon.
